The Action Plan provides an organizational framework for capital infrastructure development in historic downtown Galax. Through three essential focus areas, Galax Grows outlines strategic steps to promote economic growth, enhance safety, and elevate quality of life for visitors and residents.
Plan Brand & Website
The Galax Grows project brand and public engagement website were developed to support and promote the revitalization plan through a unified, forward-looking identity and communications strategy. It positions Galax as a vibrant, connected, and evolving hub for culture, commerce, and community life.
Community Engagement
The Action Plan was built on a robust engagement strategy, beginning with a project website and online survey designed to inform the public and generate enthusiasm.
A series of focus groups was conducted with local stakeholders to gather input, set goals, and generate recommendations around areas of future investment, including music, the arts, and outdoor recreation.
Data and feedback were used to create a set of guiding principles that drove the creation of the Galax Grows Downtown Action Plan.
