Position Overview

DbD is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to join our growing team. This individual will lead civil engineering efforts tied to downtown streetscapes, greenway systems, parks, riverfronts, and destination-oriented infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will have the ability to manage projects from concept through construction documentation while overseeing CAD technicians and coordinating with planners, landscape architects, and architects.

Key Responsibilities

Work alongside DbD’s lead PE and serve as Engineer of Record for applicable projects

• Contribute to firm strategy, growth, and sales initiatives
• Manage civil design for streetscapes, greenways, site development, and public infrastructure
• Oversee and direct CAD technicians
• Develop grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control plans
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and permitting bodies
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and client relationships

Desired Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• 8+ years of relevant experience preferred
• Strong project management and client relations capability
• Experience with municipal infrastructure and site design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Experience leading technical teams
• Interest in working on community-focused, placemaking-driven projects
