Boone, North Carolina | In-Office Position (preferred)

DbD is seeking a Graphic Designer that wants to help shape how communities grow.

DbD is a multidisciplinary planning, design, and economic development firm serving cities, counties, tourism agencies, and nonprofit partners nationwide. We work at the intersection of downtown revitalization, tourism development, recreation planning, and placemaking across the country. Our work informs public investment, strengthens local economies, and helps communities communicate vision with clarity and confidence.

Our team blends strategy, planning, engineering, and design to produce implementable plans and transformative place-based initiatives.

Our work results in adopted master plans, funded infrastructure, downtown transformations, and destination-driven economic development.

Job Overview

The Graphic Designer will play a central role in shaping how DbD communicates ideas across planning, branding, marketing, and proposal development.

This position reports directly to the DbD Communication Director and works in close collaboration with the DbD Art Director, Marketing and Brand Strategy Manager, and our proposal development teams. The designer will also collaborate regularly with planners, engineers, and firm leadership to translate complex planning concepts into clear, compelling visuals.

This is an in-office position based in Boone, North Carolina.

This role is ideal for a designer who wants their work to influence real-world outcomes — not just marketing campaigns.
